The team is present in Mendoza and Buenos Aires and are dedicated with effort and passion to the development of this proyect. In Mendoza, Mario Toso with his staff is responsible for the care and maintenance of the vineyard as well as the elaboration and development of all the wines.
The main offices are located in Buenos Aires.
Mario Toso, The technical Director in LY was born and raised in Mendoza in a family very much related to the wines (his great uncle founded Toso Hnos in 1890).
He graduated as Agricultural Engineer at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and in 1982 he founded a consultant called in order to assist projects related to wineries. In one of those projects he got to work with the famous winemaker Paul Hobbs, and he follows chilean winemaker Alvaro Espinosa's guidelines, who he consider to be an important reference in the industry. Mario is a well known wine expert and works with a dedicated and passionate team. Since he joined this company, his objective has been clear to transmit through the wines the feelings and philosophy of the owners adapting them to conditions of the area and the vineyards.
JoaquĆn Perez, is an enologist who graduated in 1973 from the Escuela Vitivinicola Don Bosco.
As from 1975 he has worked in the Wine Industry, especially in wineries elaborating sparkling and top class wines through Champenoise and Charmat methods. He is now working as enologist in LY winery.
